ABOUT SLG

Founded on April 9th, 1990, Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. is the largest and fastest growing multicultural sorority in the country. With 146 undergraduate chapters, 8 colonies, and 33 alumnae associations, Sigma Lambda Gamma strives to be the premier organization committed to providing a mechanism of empowerment to all women.


We are a sisterhood of women who have chosen this affiliation as a manner to achieve personal development and awareness to be the responsibility of community involvement for the betterment of our local, regional,  national and global communities. Furthermore, we continue to be a pioneer in the Greek fraternal world through development of innovative programming initiatives, such as the Young Women’s Leadership Program and Emotional Intelligence.

ABOUT OUR CHAPTER

The Theta Delta Chapter at Columbia University, a member sorority of Columbia University’s Multicultural Greek Council, prides itself in advancing our organization’s mission. In addition, we maintain our campus community’s standards through excellence in leadership, service and scholarship. Our chapter holds social responsibility, multicultural outreach and academic achievement at its heart, as can be seen by the variety of programming and initiatives that we undertake.
